CICB Center of Intercultural Competence 10-Year Anniversary (May 2010)

(www.cicb.net, www.cicb.ch, www.interkulturelle-kompetenz.ch).

Ten years ago, in May 2000, the CICB Center of Intercultural Competence was founded and since then it has established itself as a valuable asset. Uncompromising quality - which means the best-possible professional performance compared to the rest of the market - has always been the most important influence on the company's reputation and has enabled continuous further development.

Since 2010, the organisation has been run as a public company:
CICB Center of Intercultural Competence Ltd.
Peiry & Schibli Treuhand Ltd. acts as a trust and auditing body.
Webmaster: COMsulting GmbH; graphic designer: iVision (CICB) and Grafix (CACB).

The main activities have been separated into two areas since the beginning:
1)   Intercultural competence (research and further education)
2)   Assessment, coaching, and outplacement (with or without an intercultural focus)

In order to better differentiate and position these two areas, especially on an international stage, they have been subdivided as follows:

Umbrella organisation:

CICB Center of Intercultural Competence Ltd.

Sections:

-   Intercultural competence: CICB Center of Intercultural Competence
-   Assessment, coaching, and outplacement: CACB Center for Assessment and Coaching

The assessment, coaching, and outplacement services are outlined on a new web site.

In July, CICB is taking part in the Swiss Economic Forum 2010. Speakers include Doris Leuthard (President of the Swiss Confederation), Pascale Bruderer (President of the Swiss National Council), Prof. Paul Krugman (economist and Nobel prize-winner), Tony Blair (former British Prime Minister), Dr. Philip Hildebrand (President of the Swiss National Bank), Prof. Edmund Malik (expert on management and China), Prof. Peter Sloterdijk (philosopher) and Johann Schneider-Ammann (member of the Swiss National Council and president of Swissmem, from 2011 member of the federal council).
